The Scorpions finally in Belgrade

Many rock fans and concert goers were utterly disappointed late last year when the famous German rock band the Scorpions cancelled (again) the Belgrade concert. As a part of their world tour Crazy World Tour marking the 50th anniversary of the band, the Belgrade concert was supposed to take place on December 7th, 2017. However, due to a health issue of one of the members, the concert was cancelled only four days before it was scheduled. The concerts in Ljubljana and Ostrava were also cancelled then for the same reason.

Fortunately, a new date was announced and the concert is finally going to take place on June 10th in New Belgrade Stark Arena. The demanding concert production promises a fantastic event, the enormous stage and state-of-the-art equipment. The incoming concert will once again feature the famous hits, such as „Still Loving You“, „Wind Of Change“, „Rock You Like A Hurricane“ and „Tease Me, Please Me”.

The band which is now one of the greatest ever was formed by the then teenagers Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs 50 years ago in Hannover, Germany. During these 50 years, they’ve sold over 100 million records and earned their place as the most sold and greatest band in the whole continental Europe. Being fond of touring, the band set out to perform in all parts of the world and paved the way for many other major western bands. As long ago in 1989, the band had 5-night sold out concerts in Soviet Leningrad. Inspired with the concert, Klaus wrote the song Wind of Change, as a symbol of an iron curtain falling down. With their concerts in China and South-east Asia, the Scorpions opened the door to many other western bands and thousands of concerts held from Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Washington, Paris, Dubai and finally Belgrade, are the proof of their dedication to touring. During the 50-year career, the band sold over 100 million records, with 19 albums, 28 compilations and 75 singles.

If you’re fond of rock music and the so-called “power ballads”, this concert is a must for you.
