Belgrade Beer Fest 2018

In August, Belgrade is all about fine beer and great music, as the month is reserved for the biggest regional beer festival.

Belgrade Beer Fest 2018

Belgrade Beer Fest is by far the biggest and most popular beer festival in southeast Europe. For sixteen years now, since 2003, this event is seeing a continuous rise in the number of visitors, and each year hosts more than half a million cheerful beer lovers, and all those looking for superb music programme. Huge number of visitors, great music performers and interesting entertainment programme are more than enough to guarantee the quality of this festival. Coupled with numerous domestic and international awards and recognitions earned by Belgrade Beer Fest in the last 15 years, it is now becoming evident why this festival has become a must-visit place in the Serbia’s tourist offer.

This year’s Beer Fest is to take place from 15-19th August and during these five days you can expect unforgettable partying and fun, diverse music offer and best local and international beer. As usual, the venue will be Usce area in New Belgrade. It may seem that such a concept, which includes three music stages, lots of bars for all the beer lovers to freshen up and enjoy their favourite summer beverage, is intended primarily to young people. However, the vast range of beer manufacturers, with as many as one hundred, including the high-quality music programme, dominated by the long-standing local, regional and world bands, promises the fantastic time to just about everyone, regardless of age.

Within this year’s music programme, a lot of well-known performers are announced, coming from Serbia, the region and all around the globe. In addition to a number of resident bands performing almost every year, such as Riblja Čorba, Orthodox Celts, Yu Grupa, Goblini, Kiki i Piloti, Van Gogh, Partibrejkersi and, of course, Inspektor Blaža i Kljunovi, this year will see the superb E Play, and a bit forgotten punk band NBG, the all-time favourite Obojeni Program, the great Neverne Bebe band and many others. The regional support will come from the eccentric Istria band Let 3, then Lolobrigida, Letu Štuke and others. Belgrade Beer Fest is trying to live up to its reputation, so this year will see some iconic world music performers, such as the British post punk band The Stranglers, and Roisin Murphy - ex Moloco and others.

The music programme was planned to start at 19.00h, however, for your convenience, it would be advisable to check out the accurate timetable at the official festival web site, so you can get more reliable information.

An additional brand of this festival is a special kind of social responsibility. This is the campaign which takes place throughout the festival, titled: “Guys, who’s driving home?”, under the motto “Enjoy responsibly”, and which provides to many festival visitors free and comfortable bus transport back home. The exact routes and timetables of buses have not been published yet, but we’re sure that this will be timely and properly communicated to the public, as has always been the case.

So, if you’re fond of beer and good music and you’re planning to visit Belgrade during the festival, don’t even try not to spend at least one night at Belgrade Beer Fest. This is why we’re suggesting that you check out the section New Belgrade apartments in our web site, and find yourself some of the apartments in the immediate vicinity to Usce area, and by doing so, you will entirely eliminate the need for transport, although there are quite reliable and comfortable free buses. So when the summer night is over, all you need to do is to stroll back to your comfortable accommodation provided to you by Novi apartmani.

Cheers!
