It is high time that we all continue with a normal life. Although it may not be immediately the life we are used to and we may have to stick to the prescribed epidemiological measures for some more time, but the cultural and entertainment aspects simply have to be made available as soon as the conditions are right.
As Serbia has made significant progress in the process of immunization of its population, the organizers of the largest regional film event FEST, are planning to hold the 49th International Film Festival from 7 to 16 May 2021.

The motto of this year's Fest "Back to the Future" tells us enough about the intent of organizers who, at a time when full lockdown is in force in most European countries, are still trying to organize this famous international festival that will return moviemaking where it belongs - to cinemas!
49th FEST is planned to be held in movie theatres in Sava Center, Kombank Hall, Belgrade Youth Center and Cineplexx.

This year's festival will feature more than 70 premiere films of the latest world cinematography, categorized in 7 program units.

Given the overall situation, the festival program has not yet been officially announced, but it is known that at this year's FEST, at the closing ceremony of the festival, a new, re-edited version of the film "Godfather 3" by the legendary director Francis Ford Coppola will be featured, who even introduced some changes in the beginning and ending of the film, in specific scenes, shots and music.

During this year's festival, all measures prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Emergency team for the suppression of the infectious disease Covid-19 will certainly be respected, primarily in order to ensure the safety of both the audience and guests, but also of the festival team.
