The iconic British hard rock band Deep Purple is definitely one of the most influential bands in the world, not only in Rock n Roll genre, but global music scene for more than half a century! Deep Purple is widely considered to be the pioneers of heavy metal sound.

It may sound still far away, but on July 13, 2024, this legendary band will perform live at the famous Taš! Belgrade will once again hear the greatest hits of these famous musicians. "The Surprising", "Bloodsucker", "Fireball", "Uncommon Man", "Strange Kind Of Woman", "Lazy", "Space Truckin', are some of the songs that will be genuine music for ears of all those who are fans of hard sound.

It is worth recalling the history of this iconic band. Deep Purple was formed in Hertford, England in 1968 and the band's first name was Roundabouts. The unique hard sound and several decades of work of this band influenced many, also world-famous rock and heavy metal bands, such as Guns 'n' Roses, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Pantera and many others.

Deep Purple has earned a well-deserved place in the Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Museum in Cleveland ("Rock and Roll Hall of Fame"), and the fact that they are also in the Guinness Book of Records as "the loudest band in the world" is also interesting. This great band, led by Ian Gillan, during their long career, recorded twenty studio albums, and until recently they were very active on tours, regardless of the age of the band members. Their most recent tour was in 2019, when they also visited Belgrade and held a concert in Belgrade Arena in early December. Although that tour was announced as a farewell tour, it seems that Ian Gillan and the rest of his team simply cannot do without the adrenaline that only the stage can provide.
