Summer cinemas in Belgrade 2022
For quite some time, Belgrade has had a tradition of enjoying film screening under a clear sky. Thanks to a wonderful team of enthusiasts, every summer since 2011, the Filmstreet street film festival has been organized in Belgrade. Depending on the weather, this festival starts featuring movies already in June, until September. Filmstreet features some of the best achievements of world cinematography, which you often have nowhere else to watch anymore, taking place at several locations in Belgrade, where a well-coordinated team creates a memorable atmosphere.
In addition to this festival, all Belgrade movie goers will be able to enjoy fantastic film productions under a clear sky this summer at several locations around Belgrade.
The first in a series of locations is certainly the famous Yugoslav Film Archive (Kinoteka), which has a special appeal this summer as they have moved the screening of its films onto the terrace of the Army Center in Braće Jugovića street, where this whole event is organized until the end of the summer under the name of A1 Kinoteka. The repertoire that they set up allows all of us to find their favorite film, be it of local or international production. The start of the screening is every evening at 9 p.m., and the ticket price is affordable 300 dinars.
Next to the Kinoteka, you can find another Belgrade landmark - Kolarac, which also this summer decided to turn its outdoor area into a resort for the film enthusiasts in Belgrade. The repertoire will definitely appeal to everyone’s taste, and the ticket price is also 300 dinars.
Božidarac, the Vracar-based cultural center, as part of the Kino Božidarac program this summer also brings popular film classics of various genres to all Vračar residents, as well as numerous film lovers in Belgrade. Of course, everyone who wants to relax in the charms of film art is more than welcome, and we are sure that even foreigners will equally enjoy the unique atmosphere of Božidarac cinema.
We must not forget the New Cinema Zvezdara, another well-known location for lovers of open-air film art. During the summer scene of this unusual cinema, you will find an interesting combination of well-known films coming from all over the world. The repertoire is published once a week, so you can always check out the weekly selection on their Facebook page. It is also interesting that there are no ticket prices, and everything is based on donations, and in other words, you can set the price of the ticket yourself.
There is also Kvaka 22 (Catch 22) in Ruzveltova Street, another alternative space on whose terrace you can watch the famous works of Jim Jarmusch, Bergman, Mal and other iconic directors who definitely marked the development of film art, both in our country and all over the world.
This time we also recommend the Admiral Open Air Cinema on the plateau near the Shopping Center Galerija, where this summer, under the open sky, you can enjoy some of the most popular films in past years, as well as great classics.
Website Novi Apartmani offers to all its guests and lovers of film art to feel the magic of open-air film screening in Belgrade. This is becoming trend and every year there are more and more locations with attractive repertoires where everyone will find something for them. Do take a walk along the streets of Belgrade and find yourself a place where you can enjoy proper movie art under the bright summer sky.
